Goodbye to 2008

What a year it has been! We watched history in the making with the presidential election, gas prices rise and fall and rise and fall. LOL!

I started this blog and haven't been very good at keeping up with it but I'm going to make great effort to change that in 2009. I will try to post every day and start sharing photos as well.

Wishing everyone a safe and Happy New Year!!

Mission Accomplished!

I went shopping again yesterday and think I finished up. I need to lay everything out and make sure. I may just need a couple stocking stuffers. Hoping to get all the decorating wrapped up this weekend as well. Are all of you ready for the holidays?

I hope people are reading my blog. Leave me a comment so I know all this typing is worthwhile. LOL!

The big push is on.

I have to start being more frequent with my daily posting. Maybe when the holidays are over it will be easier. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

An update on Steve and his kidney stone. He went in for surgery on Monday but when the doctor went in to remove it, it was gone! Either it dissolved on its own or Steve passed it and didn't know.

I decided to head out yesterday and try to accomplish the rest of my Christmas shopping in one day. I did very well but ran out of time so I will head back out today for just a couple hours (that's all my feet can take) and wrap things up. I definitely want to finish up the decorating this weekend because I have some gifts I need to make.

Enjoy your day, whatever you choose to do.

Happy Thanksgiving!

WOW- so hard to believe it is Thanksgiving already! Where has this year gone? We will be heading over to Steve's parents today. We have done that every year for the past 31 years. Before dinner we all head down the street to the elementary school and have a game of touch football. Let's hope this year that we can keep it injury free. Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions you do every year? Please share if you do.

I have to get the ham in the oven so I am off. Enjoy the day- wherever you spend it- and don't eat too much turkey.

Happy Saturday!

Well, the guys had a safe trip and arrived in Missouri safe and sound. By now they are probably in their deer stands freezing their butts off. LOL! Steve said snow was expected today when I talked to him last night. I may head out to do some Christmas shopping today. Want to wait and see if the rain picks up again. Other than that I will be in my scraproom if you need me.

One more day...

until Steve and Dan leave for Missouri for the big hunting trip. They will be gone for a 9 days. This pretty much leaves me the house to myself except for Brian, who when he isn't working is at Lori's, and Max. I'm sure Max will be a good watch dog, if of course he comes up out of the basement at all where he likes to sleep. LOL! Even though I will miss them while they are gone I will thoroughly enjoy the quiet time. A girl needs that occasionally.

I have some things on my calendar to fill the days including a couple dr. appts and lunch with a friend. My friend Christie that I met through the CKMB is coming over on Friday to scrap here at the house. Should be fun. I really hope to get lots of scrapping done as I have so many projects going on my desk or in my head.

Time to move on with my day. Laundry is calling.

Oh...almost forgot- Zachary came home from the mall yesterday with his ear pierced. Had permission from Dad. Can't say I am real happy about that.

Happy Veteran's Day

A day to celebrate all the men and women who currently serve or have served our country. They are all very much appreciated.

I was having some foot issues but was able to get in to the doctor yesterday and it feels better already.

Today I will get into my scraproom and create something...anything! LOL!! First I have to make Chex Mix for the guys to take out west with them. They leave Thursday.

Have a great day!
