Happy Thanksgiving!

WOW- so hard to believe it is Thanksgiving already! Where has this year gone? We will be heading over to Steve's parents today. We have done that every year for the past 31 years. Before dinner we all head down the street to the elementary school and have a game of touch football. Let's hope this year that we can keep it injury free. Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions you do every year? Please share if you do.

I have to get the ham in the oven so I am off. Enjoy the day- wherever you spend it- and don't eat too much turkey.

Happy Saturday!

Well, the guys had a safe trip and arrived in Missouri safe and sound. By now they are probably in their deer stands freezing their butts off. LOL! Steve said snow was expected today when I talked to him last night. I may head out to do some Christmas shopping today. Want to wait and see if the rain picks up again. Other than that I will be in my scraproom if you need me.

One more day...

until Steve and Dan leave for Missouri for the big hunting trip. They will be gone for a 9 days. This pretty much leaves me the house to myself except for Brian, who when he isn't working is at Lori's, and Max. I'm sure Max will be a good watch dog, if of course he comes up out of the basement at all where he likes to sleep. LOL! Even though I will miss them while they are gone I will thoroughly enjoy the quiet time. A girl needs that occasionally.

I have some things on my calendar to fill the days including a couple dr. appts and lunch with a friend. My friend Christie that I met through the CKMB is coming over on Friday to scrap here at the house. Should be fun. I really hope to get lots of scrapping done as I have so many projects going on my desk or in my head.

Time to move on with my day. Laundry is calling.

Oh...almost forgot- Zachary came home from the mall yesterday with his ear pierced. Had permission from Dad. Can't say I am real happy about that.

Happy Veteran's Day

A day to celebrate all the men and women who currently serve or have served our country. They are all very much appreciated.

I was having some foot issues but was able to get in to the doctor yesterday and it feels better already.

Today I will get into my scraproom and create something...anything! LOL!! First I have to make Chex Mix for the guys to take out west with them. They leave Thursday.

Have a great day!

Have you started getting ready for Christmas yet?

I know it's early but I usually start thinking about Christmas right after Halloween. I usually do my decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving. I plan on starting some shopping next week. The reason for this post is because tonight I am headed to my CTMH gal's house to make Christmas cards. Should be a fun evening and I will share some photos of them in the next couple days.

On the family front Steve has a very large kidney stone that is causing some problems so he is having surgery(outpatient) to have it removed. Surgery date is December 1. He is getting ready for his annual trek to Missouri for deer hunting. Dan is going along this year as well. What will I do with all my free time? LOL!!

The BIG DAY is finally here

So have you gone out and exercised your right to vote yet? Steve and I were at the polls at 9am and there were no lines. Apparently there was a small rush at 6am when the polls opened. I'm sure the turnout will be great. It will be nice to be done with the phone calls and commercials. Let's hope that whoever is elected can begin to send our country in the right direction.

Yesterday Noah wasn't feeling well and I think today is Morgan's turn but I haven't talked to Corey yet today. Some sort of stomach virus going around apparently.

Hope everyone has a great day and don't forget to vote!

November already?

Gosh- the year is literally just flying by! I guess the older we get the faster it goes. With Halloween over it's now time for me to start making lists- gift lists, food lists, household to-do lists. Steve and Dan will be leaving for hunting next week so that gives me some time to get some things done around the house and maybe even a little Christmas shopping. A lot of scrapping will definitely be on the agenda also. I've been trying to come up with some homemade gift ideas. What are some of you making for Christmas gifts? Please share your ideas.

Off to do some scrapping and head to the dentist later today. Have a great day everyone!
